These trees have shown increased branch drop during such conditions, and the risk of further failure is now considered significant. Given the proximity of the trees to residential homes, the potential for injury or damage is substantial. For these reasons, I recommend the full removal of all four Scots Pine trees. This action is necessary to protect the safety of the residents, prevent further structural damage, and eliminate the ongoing hazards associated with these trees. All works will be carried out in accordance with BS3998:2010 – British Standard for Tree Work, ensuring best practice, safety, and compliance with industry guidelines. Replanting with more suitable species can be arranged in accordance with council requirements.
